Synthesia has launched Syren, a beta video-creation tool that turns a prompt or existing materials into a finished video. According to the company's announcement on October 9, 2026, users can provide a description, preset, branded document, image or video. Syren then assembles elements such as motion graphics, animation, avatars, voiceover, music and supporting footage.
The company says Syren uses an in-house video-rendering engine that has powered motion graphics in Synthesia since June. Users can watch videos take shape in the browser, review a transcript and request changes through chat instead of restarting the project. Videos can run for up to three minutes in horizontal or vertical formats.
For students, educators and job seekers, prompt-based video creation could help with presentations, explainers and portfolio projects. Businesses may use the tool for launch videos and marketing material. Its chat-based editing approach also illustrates how AI systems can handle parts of a creative workflow that previously required repeated manual adjustments.
Synthesia launched Syren in beta for self-serve users, free customers and Enterprise customers. The company said it plans to add a feature that learns a company's visual identity from existing videos, including its graphics, motion style, pacing and editing rhythm.
