What to check before you choose

A trial is only useful if you test the thing you actually need. Run your real inputs through it rather than the vendor's demo examples, since polished demos are chosen to flatter the model. Check whether the trial is time-limited or usage-limited, whether it requires card details up front, and whether the trial gives you the full product or a reduced version — a trial on a weaker tier tells you very little about what you would be paying for.
