Upscale AI has launched Token Fabric, a networking platform designed to let customers build data centers using AI chips from different suppliers, according to Reuters. The startup was valued at $2 billion in June.
Token Fabric combines hardware and software to connect AI processors across a data center without requiring customers to integrate separate networking systems. Upscale expects revenue from the platform to reach tens of millions of dollars next year, potentially reaching the low hundreds of millions.
The company says the system combines its networking chips, equipment using Nvidia's Spectrum-X technology and software that identifies bottlenecks and flags equipment that may need replacement. The goal is to keep AI chips working instead of waiting for data, helping customers make better use of expensive infrastructure.
Upscale plans to release the first part of Token Fabric in the fourth quarter, with the full platform rolling out in stages through 2027. The startup has backing from Nvidia, Salesforce and Temasek, and its June financing brought total funding to $500 million.
